If a guy says he’s going to be seeing you on a certain day then a week later says might not be able to.. why is such a big deal made out of it of him saying such a thing??.

cos he lied

& if he is now saying he has something more important to do it makes the girl feel unimportant

Is he saying it on the day he was supposed to see her?  Or knowing you, it's probably the day AFTER he was supposed to be seeing her

depends if she has had to make arrangements to make that date too. Like babysitters for the **** or ****, or got hubby to go away etc. If she has made arrangements then he just changes his mind it can be irritating especially if it isnt the first time it has happened

Lets not do the blame game…

Yeah but nothing in life is guaranteed, I mean, the probability of a future event happening is nothing more than “chance”, chances are he’s there, chances are he’s not.

and of course, if the guy wants to see her then he’ll try within his power to do so and the emphasis being the word “try” is better than nothing, right?..

You're right, he'll try if he wants to. Perhaps the lady isn't convinced he really does ant to?

He is just being a male and hasn't set his priorities right, she should have said she would be **** and waiting then see what happens

Would it be the same if a woman had to cancel?

Yes, we often have to rearrange time because of work and other commitments. It is accepted cause the time we do spend togther is special.

Yes.  When you make arrangements you should do your best to stick to them. Sometimes you can't, but there should be a good reason.  It's different if you've only made tentative arrangements, so if in doubt don't promise.

Having said that, I'm really easy going.  I've had a buddy cancel with me on the day because there was a delay getting his **** on his train home, and by the time he got back he was a bit late and he was tired.  I've more than once had men ask to swap dates because they'd forgotten about football commitments. I didn't hold it against them. Just means they owe me one.

No apparently she’d walk over broken glass, whatever that means. But I see your point and it was one I had thought of.
